Who's Who at OGSLP?

We all know that many things have changed since July of last year, but some things haven’t changed. One is our commitment to empower our partners to provide effective student and borrower services. When you need assistance and service support, who ya gonna call? Meet your Outreach Team!

Outreach Services Team

Previously known as the School/Lender Support Services department, this group of professionals is dedicated to supporting the mission of the financial aid community that makes postsecondary education possible for students throughout the region.

The newest member of the team is Letha Huddleston. She may be new to the Outreach Team, but she’s not new to OGSLP or the financial aid industry. Letha worked as the Financial Aid Director at City College before joining our Default Prevention department in 2007, where she helped students learn how to successfully repay their student loans and assisted many of you with your exit counseling sessions. Since joining the Outreach Team in October, she’s already given numerous UCanGo2 and FAFSA presentations. She looks forward to working with all of you in her new role!

Kelli Kelnar has experience working with lenders and servicers, and has expanded her role to include collaboration with schools since joining the Outreach Team. Kelli served in nearly every area of the financial aid community, including as a lender, guarantor, trainer for high school counselors and in financial aid offices. Kelli will be visiting her assigned schools over the next few months, so expect a visit soon.

Many of you have been a friend of Theresa Battles for years. Theresa will continue to collaborate with all of the same schools but is also adding more to her list. In addition to working with old and new friends, she’s also been busy attending college fairs and student/parent presentations to provide important college planning and FAFSA information.

The final member of the team is Penny Gandy. It’s her primary responsibility to make sure the Outreach Team has the tools and resources they need to get their job done and help support the financial aid community, other campus professionals and K-12 educators. Penny will also be making visits this spring to get feedback from financial aid administrators about the services our agency provides and the ways we can help you reach your goal of student success.

The Outreach Team is excited about expanding their customer base to include students, parents, high school counselors and other community partners, but is also looking forward to continued collaboration with their friends in the financial aid community. See you soon!
