Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) Discussion and Training Opportunities
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) has announced several opportunities for schools to participate in discussion and trainings regarding the Higher Education Act (HEA) as amended in regards to changes from the August 14, 2008 enactment of the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA).
- On May 21 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CST), Federal Student Aid (FSA) will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on the HEOA, Pub. L. 110-315.
Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) ANN-09-09 announces that this will be a live Internet broadcast during which FSA representatives will answer questions about the HEOA submitted by participants in advance. Registration is required for this meeting and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. - DCL ANN-09-07 announces ED’s live internet webinar HEOA Changes to Pell Grant and TEACH Grant Programs and ECASLA Changes to ACG and National SMART Grant Programs. This webinar is a 90-minute session offered on five different days. Advance registration is required and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. - DCL ANN-09-08 announces ED’s live Internet webinar HEOA Changes to FFEL and Direct Loan Programs. This webinar is a 90-minute session offered on four different days.
