ED Confirming Immigration Status for Aid Applicants

In the March 15, 2010 Federal Register, ED announced a Computer Matching Program with the Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The “Verification Division USCIS/ED” program allows ED to confirm the immigration status of alien applicants for financial assistance under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended.
