New Transferability Option for Veterans

On June 23, 2009, the U.S. Department of Defense issued a press release regarding its policy for transferring educational benefits to the spouses and children of service members under the "Post 9/11 GI Bill," which goes into effect Aug. 1, 2009. According to the release, the transferability of GI Bill benefits is the provision most requested by military personnel.
