UCanGo2’s 2016-17 High School Counselor Toolkits are in the Mail
Your new UCanGo2 High School Counselor Toolkit is ready, and it’s better than ever!
Our outreach team here at the Oklahoma College Assistance Program (OCAP) works hard to support your efforts to educate students and parents as they plan, prepare and pay for college. The 2016-17 High School Counselor Toolkit is designed with your specific needs in mind. Whether you have two hours or five minutes, there's something inside the kit to help you educate families about preparing for college and completing the FAFSA. And this year, to support you in adapting to the new Oct. 1 FAFSA release date, we’re sending you two kits in one!
When you open your kit, you will find two separately packaged sets of materials.
The College Planning Toolkit includes:
- 2016-17 High School Student Workbook
- 2016-17 High School Instructor's Guide
- "A Plan of Action" to help you make the most of UCanGo2 tools throughout the year
- Helpful handouts for students
- UCanGo2 promotional materials
- Are You Looking for Money? booklet
- Your Transition to College brochure
- Information about Oklahoma Money Matters, OCAP’s personal finance education initiative
The FAFSA Toolkit includes:
- A two-sided poster for high schools and colleges
- Event planning tools
- Finish the FAFSA in Five Steps brochure
- FAFSA Facts flyer
- And much more!
Most of our publications are available for download and printing from our website, including all of our middle school tools and publications, which are provided exclusively online. Resources for students and parents can be found on the Publications page at UCanGo2.org. Resources for instructors, such as talking points, worksheets, best practices and more, can be found by clicking the green "Counselors and Teachers!" button above and on the Publications page and Educators page at UCanGo2.org.
Important: Call for Contacts
If you received a High School Counselor Toolkit last year, you're already on our mailing list and should receive your kit in about a week. In an effort to keep a current contact database, we're asking all those on our mailing list to please submit your current contact information. The information generated from this call-for-contacts will be used as the primary database for future mailouts. Completing this quick survey will allow us to send materials to the correct person at your school.
Thank you for helping us better serve you. Here's to a fantastic new school year!
