Availability of 2009-10 EDE Technical Reference

On October 22, Federal Student Aid (FSA) posted the final draft of the 2009-10 Electronic Data Exchange (EDE). The EDE helps programmers and data processing staff incorporate the electronic Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and correction functionality in their institutional systems.

This tool also includes information to help schools and organizations design software systems and interface with FSA’s application processing system. Topics outlined in the final draft of the reference include:

EDE processing.
Processing codes.
Printing sections.
Record layouts.
ISIR cross reference table.
