OGSLP Hosts a Counselor Training in Tulsa
On Dec. 6, OGSLP hosted the second in a series of regional National Training for Counselors and Mentors (NT4CM) workshops for high school counselors. This workshop provided useful information about several programs offered by the State Regents for Higher Education, including Oklahoma’s Promise and OKcollegestart.org and their unique benefits for families. We highlighted several free OGSLP tools and services, too, like Oklahoma Money Matters’ new online resource clearinghouse and the High School Counselor Kit developed through our college access program, UCanGo2. Participants also learned more about the benefits of participating in the NT4CM training program, which was developed by several national trade organizations and is sponsored by the Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid office.
Counselors and staff from the following schools, districts and organizations participated in the workshop, and we thank them for sharing their thoughts and feedback with us!

- Central High School
