Who's Who at OGSLP?

Audrey Breen

Check out what Audrey’s manager, Jeff Anderson,
had to say about her:

“Audrey is a very special, highly intelligent, energetic, life-loving person. Her mind sees in color while most of us see in black and white. She knows no bounds or barriers; she doesn’t believe in the word ‘can't’ and she always finds a way to succeed.”

Name: Audrey Breen
Department: Records
Title: Records Specialist II
Tenure with OGSLP: 6 years

How do your daily duties directly impact the people OGSLP serves?
My primary responsibility is to ensure the entire agency can view its archived documents on our document management system. This includes working with our IT department to build projects (electronic file cabinets), setting up dispositions with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and training employees in the agency on how to search for and view documents on the system.  Making documents like checks and promissory notes easily accessible helps departments working with borrowers and other agencies be more efficient.

What are some of the unique services your department provides?
Our staff wears many hats. We provide a number of services including imaging and indexing documents, setting up the conference room for trainings and meetings, serving as back-up for our central receptionist, managing the warehouse storage and stocking the employee and public service areas. We take great pride in keeping OGSLP running smoothly!

What has made you successful in your position at OGSLP?
My out-of-the-box thinking and cheerful outlook on life help me engage in creative problem solving on a regular basis.

What do you like most about your job?
I love learning new things and working with people who have become my family. I’ve also had the pleasure of serving on almost every committee at OGSLP, including the State Charitable Campaign, Thanksgiving Luncheon, Benevolent Fund and Library committees. I’m glad OGSLP gives us the opportunity to make this a great place to work and give back to our community.

What are your hobbies or interests?
Right now it’s making dinosaur noises. I do a pretty awesome T-Rex impression (I think it’s my short arms) for my almost three-year-old son. I also enjoy photography; there’s something almost magical about capturing the perfect shot.
