FSA Posts Conference Presentations and CPS Web Demo

Federal Student Aid (FSA) recently posted its 2009-10 Central Processing System (CPS) Web demo site, which features a demonstration of two tools: FAFSA on the Web and FAA access to CPS Online, which includes the Return of Title IV Funds application. This site is designed to demonstrate the electronic application process to parents and students and can also be used as a training tool for financial aid administrators who want to become familiar with FAA access to CPS online and train their staff to use the system.

Aid administrators can access the demo site with the following user name and password:

    * User Name: eddemo
    * Password: fafsatest

To further assist aid administrators, the Department of Education (ED) posted presentations from its 2009 FSA Conference. The conference provided useful information about a variety of subjects, including the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA), 2009-10 application processing updates, TEACH grants, NSLDS and financial aid basics.
