Happy New Year from OGSLP!

OGSLP is proud of the products and services we were able to provide for our customers in 2008, and we’re resolved to continue offering you valuable resources in the new year. Here’s a brief overview of OGSLP’s 2008 accomplishments and community outreach activities:

• Provided training sessions on the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
• Hosted a successful annual conference for school and lender customers.
• Released Default Prevention School Tool version 1.4.2, which features increased compatibility with Document Direct and enhanced security.
• Distributed numerous helpful materials to students, families, and schools, including our flagship publications, Are You Looking for Money? and Are You Looking for Grants and Scholarships?
• Participated in the work of several national committees.
• Announced Oklahoma’s 2006 repayment rate of 94.1 percent.
• Engaged in dozens of outreach activities, including college fairs and campus and community workshops across the state.
• Mary Mowdy served as the NCHELP Board Chair and continues to serve on the executive committee.
• Provided legislative, operational and professional development information and timely industry updates to 400 customers in our monthly newsletter, Online News.
• Helped nearly 2,400 borrowers recover from default.
