OGSLP Names Executive Director

We’re pleased to share with you that Rick Edington, who has served as OGSLP’s Interim Executive Director since Oct. 1, 2009, assumed the permanent position effective July 1. In this role, Rick provides strategic leadership for the agency and oversees all operational, fiduciary, regulatory and educational functions.

Rick has been with OGSLP for over 20 years. In his prior role as Director for School/Lender Services, Default Prevention & Outreach, he worked to ensure our school and lender customers receive high quality service and useful products to enhance the federal student loan borrowing experience. His work also involved development of strategies, tools and best practices in the area of default aversion, and he shared responsibility for OGSLP’s outreach initiatives and programs with Angela Caddell, Director for Communications, Financial Education & Outreach.

Rick has strong relationships within the Oklahoma student aid community and solid operational knowledge of federal aid. He has served on the NCHELP Board of Directors, co-chaired NCHELP’s Program Operations committee for several years and served on a variety of other industry committees and workgroups.

We look forward to Rick's ongoing leadership as Executive Director and to continued collaboration with our campus, community and industry partners as a provider of college access, aid awareness, financial literacy and student loan management programs and services.
