Continuing Resolution to Extend Federal Funding through April 8 Passes in House
In our ongoing effort to track the 2011 budget, we are reporting that the House of Representatives has passed a stopgap funding bill that cuts $6 billion from the current discretionary budget and keeps the government operating through April 8.
There are no additional cuts to education within this bill.
This continuing resolution is expected to be passed by the Senate and signed by the President before the March 18 government shutdown deadline.
We’ll continue to keep you informed about new developments regarding proposed 2011 budget cuts and the 2012 budget. Visit our Legislation Page to view new documents as they become available.
