Continuing Resolution Passed Extending Fed Operations through March 18
As a follow-up to our February 22 Legislative Update, we’re reporting new developments on the 2011 Federal Budget.
On Wednesday, the House and Senate reached an agreement on a two-week continuing resolution (CR). President Obama quickly signed-off on the deal, which extends government operations through March 18.
The CR eliminates funding for the Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (LEAP) program. Therefore, no LEAP funds will be distributed to states on July 1.
