NT4CM event in Enid

If you chose #4, you’re absolutely correct.

Over the past several months, OGSLP and State Regents’ staff have hosted free, regional NT4CM workshops for high school counselors across the state. The first workshop was held in Oklahoma City on Nov. 4, followed by events in Tulsa, Enid and Weatherford.

At these workshops, counselors were given in-depth presentation tools and materials about financial literacy and college access programs – UCanGo2, OKcollegestart.org, Oklahoma’s Promise, Oklahoma Money Matters and, of course, NT4CM. We enjoyed answering their questions and exchanging ideas about solutions to common challenges.

Check out what a few of the participants had to say about the workshop series:

“The State of Oklahoma provides amazing support for higher education. Just go to college!” – Maggie Waller, Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences

“Absolutely loved the workshop! It was like a one-stop-shop for tons of information from many programs. Getting this info in one day (versus going to 6 or 7 workshops to get the same info) was awesome. Thank you!” – Judy Smith, Blackwell High School

“Probably the best workshop I’ve been to in a long time. Extremely informative!” – Vickie Ewbank, Fairview High School

“The workshop was amazing! So well organized, upbeat and tons of information! Thank you, ladies!” – Sharla Sharp, Covington-Douglas High School

We’d also like to give a special shout-out to the presenters who made it all happen:

We’ll continue offering these types of workshops with new topics throughout the year. Keep watching your inbox for more information about upcoming events. And don’t forget to encourage any high school counselors you work with to join our e-mail list so they can learn about our free college access resources. See you soon!
