Higher Education Act Update

A bill to temporarily extend the programs under the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA) was signed into law (Public Law 110-230/S.2929) by the President on May 13, 2008, providing a one-month extension until May 31, 2008. Congress passed another one-month extension on May 20, S. 3050, which authorizes Title IV programs though June 30. The bill is awaiting the President's signature.
