New UCanGo2 Resource for Parents
Research shows that 90 percent of a baby’s brain develops from birth to age five, so it’s never too early for parents to start thinking about a child’s future. That’s why UCanGo2 partnered with early childhood experts Smart Start Oklahoma to develop a new publication called From Cradle to College -- an eight-page guide designed to help new parents build a college-going culture in the home from birth.
From Cradle to College helps parents identify developmental milestones and teaches them how to enrich playtime and maximize learning opportunities. The guide also offers advice on making learning a priority, discussing college with older children and planning ahead for college costs.
The path to academic success begins in early childhood with proper development and continues throughout a child’s life as s/he learns the skills and habits required to become a successful adult. UCanGo2’s goal is to provide parents with information to put their children on the path to success in college and beyond.
