ED Names TPD Servicer

The Department of Education (ED) announced that as of Oct. 1, 2010, the Nelnet Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Servicer is in place. Nelnet will now receive and process general (non-veteran) TPD assignments and referrals on behalf of ED.

Loanholders will continue working with the office in Greenville, Texas to complete all assignments and referrals submitted before Oct. 1, 2010. Assignments and referrals submitted on or after Oct. 1, 2010 should be sent to the Nelnet TPD servicer in Denver, Colorado. Loanholders and borrowers who have questions about veterans’ TPD may contact the Veterans TPD Unit in Atlanta, Georgia.
