How do your daily duties directly impact the people OGSLP serves?
I’m responsible for ensuring the Default Prevention team has the resources they need to provide the quality customer service that our borrowers are accustomed to receiving.

What are some of the unique services your department provides?
The Default Prevention department has the awesome responsibility of counseling borrowers about the available repayment options to prevent further delinquency and avoid default on their student loans. We’re so excited about our new and improved autodialer, which will help us contact even more borrowers and expand our existing repayment education programs.

Default Prevention also serves our industry partners by providing a variety of helpful services, such as campus staff training, school cohort analysis and consulting, early assistance outreach, workshops, entrance and exit counseling session support, educational product development and materials distribution.

What has made you successful in your position at OGSLP?
I attribute my success to maintaining a good sense of humor and my ability to remain flexible.

What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy working in a team environment most of all. I like the challenges of streamlining processes for efficiency and working with a dedicated team that helps make it all happen.

What are your hobbies or interests?
I love all kinds of music, including jazz, gospel, hip-hop and classical. I also enjoy quiet time on Sunday afternoons, spending quality time with my family and listening to my 15-year-old play the piano while my 7-year-old dances around the house.
