ED Announces Training for Title IV Calculation

The Department of Education (ED) is providing two recorded training sessions that offer information about Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4) on the Web and R2T4 calculation.

The R2T4 on the Web training is intended for financial aid staff who use this application to perform or monitor R2T4 calculations. The training includes:

• An overview of the regulatory requirements of the R2T4 calculation.
• A step-by-step review of the R2T4 worksheet used to properly calculate the return of federal funds.
• Guidance relevant to the most current R2T4 calculation.

The R2T4 Overview training is intended for financial aid staff who are still learning about R2T4 calculation or others who may need to know how to perform the R2T4 calculation that results from a student's withdrawal. The training provides information about:

• How to properly configure R2T4 on the Web to meet institutional needs.
• How the R2T4 calculation works.
• Various reporting features of the Web product.
