OKMM Participates in Jump$tart Your Money Week
Oklahoma Money Matters (OKMM), OGSLP's financial literacy program, forged new partnerships, shared resources and held a kick-off event to promote financial education among college students and young working professionals during Jump$tart Your Money (JYM) Week, a series of events and activities across the state to promote financial literacy in Oklahoma.

Congress Passes Budget Resolution; President Releases Detailed Budget Request
On April 30, both the House and Senate passed a 2010 budget resolution that included reconciliation instructions for the Education Committee to create $1 billion in savings. The resolution's "Sense of Congress" outlines a continued role for the private sector in federal student lending. On May 7, the President issued the detailed budget request for congressional consideration.

Revised MPNs, Addenda and PLDs Posted
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approved revised versions of the FFELP Master Promissory Note (MPN) and related documents. The updates reflect multiple statutory changes to the Stafford and PLUS loan programs.
