OKMM Unveils Updated Web Site
Oklahoma Money Matters (OKMM) has expanded their Web site with added features and a fresh new design, and is developing a new brochure to outline the many services OKMM provides to students, schools, businesses and community organizations, including campus workshops, financial literacy materials, educational resources and much more.

The 2009-2010 FAFSA offers new features that will make it more accessible and ensure that completion is easier for students and parents.

DCL Trigger Dates Summary
On December 31, 2008, the U.S. Department of Education published Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) GEN-08-12/FP-08-10, which provides a summary of the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA). OGSLP created a chart to help schools and lenders identify the effective dates of HEOA provisions highlighted in the DCL.

Focus on HEOA: Cohort Default Rates
On February 9, 2009, the Department of Education will release federal fiscal year (FFY) 2007 Draft Cohort Default Rates for all eligible schools for informational purposes. Provisions of HEOA impact the calculation methodology for cohort default rates.
